Matt has only dirt on his mind...
Well I guess it wasn't the best weekend to go rogue on this blog. I didn't think about how focused he would be on his dirt project. He worked dirt all weekend and spent the day working dirt today. He did briefly mention possibly doing a blog on FB last night, but so far, no time to talk more about it. He is beyond knee deep in dirt and that is all he is thinking about. I will keep trying to get a minute of his time and a speck of his focus.

ReplyDeleteAh, dirt. Down the back of his shirt, in his shoes, ears and mouth after crashing the Honda three wheeler at the "race rack" crudly built in the empty lot next door in San Bruno,CA.
ReplyDeleteI can count at least 6 times when Matt, Mike and I should have been hospitalized (either physically or mentally).
I've known Matt for .... (17 + 19, carry the one (I choose to use the 'old' math)) 36 years.
ReplyDeleteI can't beleive how much time has passed.
Who is the person behind Roloff World? Is this Matt's assistant, Sven, or someone else?
ReplyDeleteDo any of his children (minus Zach) hold down any type of job, whether it be part-time or full time outside of the home farm?
ReplyDeleteMatt one time decided to go camping, not far from home at the time, San Jose hills on the east side. Had hot soup and ice cream sunday's! Wild boars were all over that, outside our tent in the middle of the night. Good times to take my mind off this wild young lady I had just lost, Matt was there for me. Thanks bro!!
ReplyDeleteMatt, what are you building, is it going to be a secret till done. Does TLC have a show in mind for this new adventure, I surely hope so, miss you guys a lot. Thinking about a trip up North at pumpkin time to see your wonderful place.

Just after getting his Driver’s License, Matt drove the family’s ’68 VW Bus (saving money to buy his ’72 Super Beatle, of course). The family had adopted a huge, BIG, beautiful, slobbering, bad breath Saint Bernard. Annie’s favorite place to stand in the bus was between the two front seats with her jowls on the dashboard. She would breathe so hard that her moist breath fogged up the windshield completely. We’d have to roll down both front windows and the passenger had to relay obstacles and navigation instructions to Matt. This was before mandatory seat belt laws, so when Matt made a hard turn, Annie’s body would be forced against you and you were quick to find a hand hold to grab in case you were pushed out the door.
